Personal Statement

My career has taken me from research mathematics to enterprise e-learning and many places inbetween. My personal goal is to help realize the potential of information and communication technology to improve learning, education and training. I co-founded Eduworks in 2001 with my friend and colleague Geoff Collier with this goal in mind. Started as consulting and research company, Eduworks is now providing innovative technology-based solutions that help customers manage and derive value from their eLearning resources throughout their lifecycle.

Professional Activities

Most of my time is spent on Eduworks and our customers. What remains of my professional time is devoted to the continued evolution and stewardship of eLearning interoperability standards and to research in the areas of reusability, knowledge management, and new media.
